Get a solid theoretical foundation for your piloting career. We offer courses for all levels from private and light aircraft to airliners and helicopters, including a specialization in instrument flying.
Comprehensive ATPL(A) theoretical training designed for future professional airline pilots.
By completing the ATPL(A) theory course, you open the door to the key next steps in a professional pilot career — in particular CPL(A) – Commercial Pilot License and IR – Instrument Rating.
The theoretical training covers 13 mandatory EASA subjects and is structured to systematically prepare you for both the CAA examinations and subsequent practical flight training.
The course duration is approximately 9 months. Certificates for individual subjects are issued progressively, allowing you to sit the exams without unnecessary delays and to efficiently plan the next phases of your training.
Classes are held on weekends, making the course suitable for both students and working pilots.

The theoretical training is designed for future pilots of PPL(A) – Private Pilot Licence (Aeroplanes), LAPL(A) – Light Aircraft Pilot Licence, and UL – Ultralight Pilot Licence.
The course starts with a common theoretical foundation for all students. After completing the theory, you can decide which path to follow — whether towards ultralight flying, recreational aviation, or a full private pilot licence.
PPL(A) theory is suitable for pilots who plan to progress towards a professional pilot career, wish to fly aircraft carrying more than two persons, and potentially extend their qualifications with IR – Instrument Rating, MEP – Multi-Engine Piston rating, or operate turboprop aircraft. Holders of a PPL(A) licence may also fly ultralight aircraft after appropriate conversion training.
The LAPL(A) licence represents an intermediate step between PPL(A) and UL. It allows you to fly aircraft with up to 4 persons on board and a maximum take-off mass of 2,000 kg. It is a suitable option especially for holders of a UL licence.
UL theory is intended for future ultralight aircraft pilots.
Note: If a holder of a UL licence later decides to continue towards LAPL(A) or PPL(A), the theoretical training must be completed again. Only Pilot-in-Command (PIC) flight time may be credited, up to a maximum of 10 hours or 10% of total flight time. In addition, UL licence holders cannot undertake further advanced ratings and, without additional training, are not permitted to operate at controlled aerodromes or fly internationally.
The theory course is conducted on weekends, every second weekend, with a total duration of three training weekends.
